Biography
Ed brings over 25 years of institutional trading experience across global equity and equity derivatives markets. A Physics graduate from King’s College London, he built his career at Goldman Sachs, Cazenove and JP Morgan. Ed’s responsibilities included managing the institutional execution business, as well as the firms’ proprietary trading books, across London, New York, Tokyo and Johannesburg. His experience spans some of the most challenging periods in modern financial history, including the dot-com crash, the Global Financial Crisis, and more recently, the global pandemic. Throughout his career, Ed has recruited, mentored and developed junior traders, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in the financial markets. Since leaving investment banking, he has mentored more than 200 traders, helping them develop the disciplined processes, risk management skills and trading mindset required for long-term success. At 4 Pillar Trading, Ed combines decades of institutional market experience with practical mentoring to help traders apply professional trading principles with confidence and consistency.
